CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2021

The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for a total of five subjects – Chemical Sciences; Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.

Although the CSIR NET question paper for each subject differs, the pattern of creation of papers is largely the same.

CSIR NET question paper for each subject contains objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 200 marks.

Each CSIR UGC NET paper is divided into three parts – A, B and C. Questions in Part A are common for all candidates. Questions in Parts B and C differ as per the subject chosen by the candidate.

Each part of the CSIR NET exam contains a different number of questions. Total questions that candidates need to attempt also differ as per the subject chosen by the candidate.

The total duration in which candidates need to complete the exam is three hours.
