Syllabus for SSC Delhi Police Constable (Driver) Computer Based Examination :

    • General Awareness: The question in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness around him. Questions will also be designed to test his knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline
    • Reasoning : Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of nonverbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observations, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasons and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
    • Numerical Ability: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and the relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc
    • Trade Test: Questions related to Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules/Signals/Signages, vehicle & environmental pollution, i.e., petrol and diesel vehicle, CNG operated vehicle, Noise pollution, etc

Syllabus for the Computer Based Examination :

General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test his/her knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person.   • Physics: Understand the basic concepts of topics like thermodynamics, mechanics, Newton’s Law of Motion, Gravity, Motion, Pressure, Units of measurements, sound, Heat & Temperature, Electronics, Magnetism, Ohm’s Law, Number systems, Fiber Optics, Mode of Communication etc.
  • Chemistry: Chemistry of everyday life, Commonly used chemicals, important catalysts, reactions, Commercial applications of chemicals chemical and physical change, definition-based question, Acids (Sulphuric acid, Hydrochloride), Atomic Number, Elements and their symbols and Electro Chemistry etc.

Mathematics: Number systems, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Averages, Simple and Compound interest, Profit, Loss & Discount, Time, Distance & Work, Algebra (Equations, Surds, Indices, Graphs), Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Data Interpretation, Sequence & Series, Permutation & Combination and Simplification.

Reasoning: Non-Verbal Reasoning (figures), Analogy, Alphanumeric Series, Number Series, Critical Thinking, Coding and de-coding, Logical reasoning, Input-Output, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, Table, Directions/Ranking Test, Venn Diagrams, Seating Arrangement, Coded Inequalities and Data Sufficiency.
